Wow, I forgot this existed. Hello everybody (which is more like... hello to the other follower of this blog and to the people who might see this in the future), it has been nearly 2 years since I last posted anything about losing weight, keeping fit, and eating right. Here's a little update.
The last time you heard from me, I was "189.1 lbs.", which was some kind of fantastic accomplishment, considering I'm 5'10, and I was 220 lbs. Looking in hindsight, that was a point where I don't want to even think about reaching right now, for I am 177.6 lbs. and I'm working hard to reach my goal of under 170.
Things started looking up since that day. I am fit and active, I have a new job with co-workers and bosses I respect, and I can honestly say that I have literally met the love of my life.
The perseverance of losing my weight have also taught me to follow through with tasks in other aspects of life, no matter how difficult things may be. Recently I got accepted to Cal State LA, finally getting out of Rio Hondo College, since 2008.
There is one thing that keeps me on track, perhaps you all could benefit from this.
MyFitnessPal.com - Helps me track calories gained and lost through food and exercise. this website/phone app is a lifesaver for me, I suggest everyone give it a shot. It really works.
I'm not trying to shamelessly plug this website/app like I work for them, if anything they worked for me.

By the way,
Lee's Sandwiches has a Grilled Chicken Sandwich that you can order without mayo or pate. tastes great and it isn't that bad in terms of calories (other than the obvious starchy bread). I'm not saying "eat this everyday" but more like this sandwich could be an excellent "I feel like cheating on my diet today" kind of meal.
WOOHOO
I just found out, this next week i'm at Vegas will be recovery week for the Insanity workout... THANK GOODNESS! WOOHOO!!

Insanity, day 0.5
I did 10 minutes of cardio abs. I got tired and rested and then decided to not go back into it. But! I have already gained weight (usually a sign that it's working) and my stomach is noticeably smaller. Yay!
